Should I start with a free or a paid app?
Start free while you’re experimenting. Once you decide to continue with Arabic calligraphy, a paid app gives you finer precision and brush control.
Do the brushes work in every app?
No. Each app uses its own brush format, so each device lists the brushes that fit it before you buy.
Do I need a stylus, or can I use my finger?
You can start with your finger, but Arabic calligraphy needs steady movement, and an Apple Pencil or Android stylus makes a big difference.
